New Life Program for Men
Stability, support and Christian addiction recovery in Albany, NY.
Homelessness and addiction hurt. But there is a way back toward home and healing! In our free nine-month Christian residential addiction recovery program, up to 25 men leave behind the burden of the past to embrace a healthy new life.
The Four-Phase Program Includes
Addiction recovery
Maintaining sobriety in a world that embraces sin and temptation is increasingly difficult. Residents attend weekly Celebrate Recovery meetings on-site to help them stay on track.
Counseling/Bible study
All program participants are assigned a pastor/counselor who walks beside them and guides them through the process of recovery with a foundation in Christ. Residents also support each other during group classes and studies.
Education
Education is an important part of a full recovery. We work with our long-term residents to help them get started or continue with their educational programs – from literacy to GEDs to higher education.
Employment readiness
Residents have allotted hours in our Learning Center in which they can take advantage of the many employment and job skills programs we have to offer.
Food / Clothing / Healthcare
Recovery is difficult enough without worrying about one’s basic physical needs. Program participants have access to three meals a day, are able to “shop” in our free clothing center and visit our medical clinic regularly.
Transitional Living Program
Upon completion of the NLP, 43 studio apartments are available to support graduates as they transition back into the community as productive members.
