When you donate food, clothing, toiletries, furniture or appliances to help people who are poor and homeless, you’re showing love by meeting practical needs.
The Mission accepts donations of canned and boxed food items, fresh produce, turkeys/hams, livestock, homemade goods, and extra food platters from your special event.
Donation of non-expired goods are accepted anytime at the front desk or at the kitchen door (side parking lot) during business hours.
Regular size and travel size shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and feminine hygiene products are a constant need.
We are also now accepting REFUNDABLE bottles and cans. Proceeds benefit our services and programs at the Mission. Drop off refundable items at our clothing donation area (see below).
The Mission accepts men’s, women’s and children’s seasonable clothing, underwear, boots, shoes and household items (i.e. kitchenware, small appliances) in good condition. Click for a more comprehensive list.
All good clothing is given to people in need in our community without charge. All out of season and old/stained clothing and bedding will be baled for Mission income.
To drop off items, visit our donation area located next to 127 Arch St, Albany. HOURS: Mon-Sat, 8am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-4pm. All other times, drop items at the front desk (259 South Pearl St, Albany). Call 518.462.0459 x 259 with donation questions.
The Mission will transport donated livestock in our trailer from the farmer to a USDA inspected slaughterhouse. The farmer is given a tax-deductible receipt for the animal’s market value.
The quartered, stamped USDA meat is transported to the Mission’s meat processing area where the meat is cut and prepared by our chef. It is then served to poor and struggling neighbors in our community.
HUNTERS! The Mission also accepts deer or bear.
