Capital City Rescue Mission is a Christian ministry that brings God’s love to the lost, homeless and hurting in our community. CCRM is dedicated to proclaiming the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ to the homeless and needy of the Capital Region, providing for the whole person – body, mind and spirit – to help them return to society, maturing in Christ as productive citizens.

Women’s Recovery Program Resident Assistant

She must be a born-again Christian who is actively involved with a local fellowship of believers and who has the educational background/experience necessary to share in the administration of the programs instituted in the Women and Children’s work.  She will be able to inspire and work with the residents in keeping with the stated purpose of the Center.  She must be in full agreement with the Mission Statement and inspire others by living an exemplary life according to the Bible’s standards.  Desiring to win people to Christ, she must be flexible as well as teachable so that the Lord’s will be done at the Mission.  She must be able to teach, and minister to the needs of those placed in her care.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to office work, driving, supervising scheduled activities, resident intakes, inspecting rooms, attending staff meetings, enforcing rules and regulations, teaching Bible-based classes as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director, handling emergencies, supervising volunteers, and monitoring resident medications.

Women’s Emergency Shelter Resident Assistant

She must be a born-again Christian who is actively involved with a local fellowship of believers and who is a high school graduate or GED equivalent. Must be flexible and teachable in the areas of work and ministry, and must have a valid driver’s license or agree to attain one within the first year of employment. She will need to take CPR/First Aid training, Fire Extinguisher training, and know safe emergency evacuation procedures. The Shelter Assistant is a key entry level ministry position. She will be trained under the supervision of the Women’s Emergency Shelter Coordinator and must have a desire to learn all aspects of the Women’s Emergency Shelter. The Shelter Assistant must be prepared to share her Christian testimony with others and have a strong desire to see people won to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing the shelter for nightly operations, using discernment in enforcing shelter rules and policies, assisting shelter guests with their immediate physical and spiritual needs, documenting all incidents of guest violations of shelter rules, reporting maintenance or safety concerns to the Shelter Coordinator, sharing Christian testimony and offering prayer of salvation to the lost, staying awake each shelter night, keeping inventory, and cleaning the shelter.

He must be a born-again Christian who is actively involved with a local fellowship of believers and who is a high school graduate or GED equivalent. Must be flexible and teachable in the areas of work and ministry. He must agree with the Mission Statement of Faith, Qualifications for Christian Ministry Employment, and lead an exemplary life according to Biblical standards. They should have prior experience and/or training. He will be trained under the supervision of the Director of Food Service and must have a desire to learn all aspects of the Kitchen. The Cook must be prepared to share their Christian testimony with others and have a strong desire to see people won to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to helping in the preparation and serving of meals and supervision in the kitchen. Under the Director of Food Service, they will receive and store food, supervise program workers assigned to the kitchen and conduct kitchen work in accordance with NYS sanitation rules. They are responsible to keep a clean and safe kitchen. The Cook has authority to make decisions within the area of food service as directed by the Director of Food Service. He will seek opportunities for evangelism, prayer and spiritual ministry with clients, volunteers and staff.
