“Coming to Celebrate Recovery each week has helped my family begin to heal from the seemingly irreparable damage that my brother’s addiction has caused.”

C/R Participant

I'm not an addict. Why should I attend CR?

Celebrate Recovery (C/R) is for any kind of struggle in our lives. Less than a third of participants have a problem with substance abuse. Many of us come because someone in our family is in trouble. If a family member is struggling, it is affecting the whole family – and we need support, too!

Issues often addressed at C/R Meetings include, but are not limited to:

  • Addictions
  • Pornography, lust
  • Gambling, financial problems
  • Grief, loss, depression, divorce
  • Control, anger/rage, pride
  • Abuse – physical, sexual, emotional, verbal, domestic violence
  • Eating disorders
  • Relationship/family problems

WORSHIP

We believe that worship is a key element of our group. So often we find that the worries and struggles of the day slip away as we open our hearts through song and praise to the One who will bring us true freedom.

TEACHING

We believe that we have a great opportunity to learn a new way of living through sound teaching, guidance, real testimonies, the 12 Steps, and biblical principles. These groups are led by those who have walked and continue to walk the path of freedom.

SMALL GROUPS*

We believe that during the confidential and intimate time we are free to openly share our hearts and specific struggles past and present. Group members find that they are able to let go of burdens allowing God to move in their situations. It’s also a great time to celebrate our victories together and the freedom we are finding as a results of our new way of living.
*All small groups are gender specific.

Serenity Prayer (As originally written)

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will,
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with You
forever in the next.  Amen.
– Reinhold Niebuhr
